It was disappointing, but not surprising that Karla could not make it. Leda missed her, but understood completely how matters of state could put a crimp in one's travel or social plans.

She did put on a bit of a spin to show off her dress (not her first of the evening).

"I assure you having difficulty deciding what to wear for such occasions is a universal trait. Or were you able to decide right away?" she asked Jaime teasingly.

"I am pleased things go well with you both. I haven't forgotten our own difficult years, and know that things can get....interesting in your realms. And I hope you know that if you ever have need of aid, you need only just ask."
