OOC: Adventures in Fan-Fic-ing
Sep. 8th, 2013 10:26 amVarious issues aside, I'm very proud of the stor-line/arc that Leda went through. Thus I've begun compiling her posts into what I hope will be an epic, and cohesive, fan-fic. This is turning out to be an even bigger project than I anticipated. I mean, I knew I had a lot of posts to go through, she's been around for a while.
But, while most of the actual writing is done, there's a lot to do anyway. Like when I get to my linkdrops I have to figure out how to arrange all those posts. I have to convert some things from the kind of story-telling this game uses, to a different form.
I have to get permission from the folks who's threads I wish to use. This I knew was gonna be a big part of it, and the hardest part here is that some of the people don't seem to be anywhere to be found.
But the biggest unseen thing (and this may be my natural tendency to go overboard with things) is that I now find I want to include interactions between the folks who will wind up being major characters in the story, which don't neccesarily include Leda herself. Or some posts that will at least hint at what those characters are going through in their own lives. And yes all permissions will be sought out in that regard as well. Partly I'm trying to err on the side of too much, so I can pare it down, rather than have not enough.
Also folks I've contacted, chapters with your characters in them I will send out for approval before-hand.
