I'm gonna do this in the order that they're listed on my lj login menu.:)

Therefore!

Tully Mars, from Jimmy Buffet's A Salty Piece of Land.

Tully is a cowboy turned fugitive turned shrimp boat crewman turned fishing guide turned archeologists assistant turned sailor turned lighthouse restorer turned lighthouse keeper. And through it all, his horse has been by his side. Yes, even on the shrimp boat.

He comes to us from just near the end of his canon, when the law is off his back, and he finished restoring the Cayo Loco light. He came to Fandom to restore the Fandom Light Station, which he has done. He now tends the light, runs a museum, and is working on restoring a boat. He's hiring.

His horse is named Mr. Twain and is kind of a bad ass. Of the two of them, it was Twain who killed a Skrull during their invasion.

Tully he is easygoing, friendly, and while he's not a coward exactly, he does much prefer to run from trouble. He's struggling against his seeming destiny to be the creepy lighthouse keeper.

As for the light itself, it's official name is the Gnu Island Light Station. It was built in 1870, and decommissioned in 1960. It stands 156 feet high, and formerly guided ships into the harbor. The light still occasionally shines, though the School blocks it's beam. (Outlines the school briefly with a halo of light which can look pretty cool from the water).

The house in front of it housed the Keeper and his family, and his assistant and his family. Now one half of the house houses Tully, and the other houses a Lighthouse Museum and Gift Shop.

The lighthouse, like so many, is haunted. It is haunted by the benevolent spirit of it's first keeper, who died heroically keeping the light burning during a horrific wind storm that blew him off the top of the tower, and into the waves. He's very happy that the station has been restored. The residents of Gnu island may have found the place very sad and spooky until Tully showed up to do so.

Tim Desmond is from the trilogy of books by Esther Freisner; Gnome Man's Land, Harpy High, and Unicorn U. He was once a normal, if rather poor teen living in Flatbush, until a Banshee showed up while he was babysitting to preemptively mourn his death.

The Fae, banished a hundred years before had returned, and Tim got snookered into becoming their champion. It's mostly a PR job. Except he did once have to stop Baba Yaga from releasing monsters from the same place the Fae had gone. Oh and the year after that he stopped Loki (the Norse God, not the Angel) from bringing about Ragnarok. Since then it's been pretty quiet once he got used to his mother dating Faust.

Tim is on his second stint in Fandom after attending the summer session a few years ago. He's now working as the manager of The Android's Dungeon (which is still hiring by the way), living in MCA #8, and commuting via Portalocity to classes at Princeton.

Tim's a bit of a smartass, but is a good guy. To look at him you might think that A) he's a student, or B) he's not world saver material. He's got a bit of a baby face (until I finally break down and change his PB), and he's kinda scrawny. But he's got a yard of guts. Also a magic sword that he can summon to his hand at a moment's notice. It can do, probably whatever needs to be done plotwise.

William "Billy" Kessler is from the comic book G.I. Joe. He is the son of Cobra Commander, a ninja, and sporting an eye patch, and a prosthetic leg. He has just recently weathered the last of his canon, faking his death in a confrontation with his father, and then helping G.I. Joe put him away for good.

Now he's living in Astoria with his mother, sister, and his wicked cool step father. He will soon return to St. Petersburg Florida to resume his college education.

Billy's an expert in hand to hand combat, blind fighting, and is proficient with a katana, standard military issue hand gun, and is a good shot with the ol' throwing stars. If need be, he can put himself into a death-like coma that even many doctors would be unable to tell from the real thing. This allows the body to recover from trauma that would normally kill it. Such as neuro-toxins. Or being shot in the frigging head *cough*Storm Shadow*cough*.

Billy is quiet, but has a good sense of humor (thanks to Fandom), and easy to get along with. He's always ready to lend a helping hand in stopping the bad guys, though...he's a bit ambiguous about just who the bad guys are. He was after all, partially raised by terrorists, and is still on fairly good terms with an Arms Dealer. Actually the guy's paying for Billy's college tuition so, there's that. He can also be pretty ruthless when it comes to stopping the bad guys.

Leda, or as she's known to her parents and the more traditional Elves, The Scent of Heather One Dewey Dawn in Autumn of the House Where Two Queens Fell, is from the Bordertown series created by Terri Windling. Specifically the books Elsewhere, and Never Never by Will Shetterly.

She is a junior hailing from Bordertown, a city that she identifies as somewhere in the midwest, but you can actually get there from anywhere on the globe if you want or need to badly enough. Bordertown was once a normal, midsized city in the world, until the border of Faery suddenly reappeared, and altered both worlds forever. Bordertown is now a unique community sitting on the edge of both the Faery and Human worlds.

Leda is an elf, as can be seen from her icon. She's got them kick ass ears, and her eyes are silver. And currently her hair is dyed blue, but it might change by the time she gets back from Christmas break. At 5'7'' she's a small for an elf. She's an orphan who was adopted by an upper middle class Elven couple. She has no memories from before they adopted her, having rather carefully repressed them.

In middle school she ran away from home and started a street gang with her best friends, a set of twin half-elves named Mooner and Wiseguy. The gang welcomed elves, humans, or halfies. Called the Strange Pupae, the idea was to show the people of Bordertown that the races could get along.

Their squat burned down, killing a few, including Mooner, and putting Leda in the hospital for smoke inhalation. The fire was not an accident, and depending on who you believe, was set by either Mooner, or a new guy named Just Ron.

Leda's parents sent her to Fandom hoping that exposing her to the human world would cure her of her unhealthy fascination with them. They didn't know Fandom.

Leda is friendly, kind, witty, open minded, bi, and loves poetry. She also a drug addict. Her particular poison is called Peca, or Dragon's Milk. It's a powerful narcotic to Elves, but only makes humans sick. She has tried several times to get off it, but all attempts have failed.

Oz is from Joss Whedon's Buffy The Vampire Slayer. If you don't know the show, it's kind of a long story. It's about a girl named Buffy who slays Vampires. Apparently not that long.

Oz came into the picture when he began dating Buffy's BFF Willow. He was once the bass player of a fine mediocre band called Dingoes Ate My Baby. Now he works at Holiday Grove and Coyote Medicine, and lives in a (zebra striped) van down by the river! causeway.

As a werewolf, Oz has a supernaturally acute sense of smell. And on the full moon, and the two bumper days and nights, can turn into a large wolf-like creature. A very not-tame-wolf-like creature. He controls this with meditation, and the occasional trip out to non-populated areas to let the wolf stretch it's legs.

The rest of the time, Oz practically defines mellow. He's such an unflappable guy that he rarely emotes at all. Or talk much.

Robin is a frog. A talking frog. A Muppet frog actually which means several things. He's sentient, larger than the average frog, and is soft and fuzzy. And durable enough that he was once stepped on by a dinosaur and bounced back like a toon.

Robin is a junior, and judging by the reaction he often gets, is the strangest of Fandom's student body. He plays the banjo and the guitar, and loves to sing, and act. He is also a fan of extreme sports, and female rockers. His latest crush is Taylor Swift, even though she's country. He's friendly, innocent, slightly hyper, and a little sensitive about his size.

I've written some other info posts for Robin that you might get a kick out of. First off is A history of the Muppets in Robin's world, and a brief rundown on Robin's family situation, his romantic leanings, and musings on the muppeteers.

My name is Ben Church. I'm a struggling actor, currently living in Virginia, and working in a kennel. I usually work till 6:30 (eastern) in the evening so on my working days my availability is slow but there. (I'm all about SP really.) I'm also often off filming movies or somesuch, so yeah, SP. And while I'm kind of a mix of Eyore, Oscar the Grouch and Charlie Brown, I love playing this game, and am actually easy to get along with. Please if you want to start up a thread, ping me! My contact info is in the user info page and stuff.

I like the rain, science fiction and fantasy, comics, and not-quite-mainstream stuff.
