Leda was feeling antsy. Energetic, up for some good times, and antsy. The Peca helped but wasn't neccesary. She took a swig and then started tapping her foot in time with the drums. Another swig, and the guitar riff began, and she jumped off her bed to her feet.

Karla glanced up at Leda in something akin to amazement and confusion. "I--uhh. Leda?"

That had been some impressive dancing.

That had been way fun. That may not have been the reaction she'd been hoping for, but it was amusing none the less.

"Yyyyyyyyyeeeeeessss?"

"That was a--" hot "--nice dance." Karla swallowed audibly. "Is this about fortune cookies?"

Sometimes Karla could rival males in denseness.

Now Leda was confused. "I don't...think so? But we could get some I guess. Oh! I have stuff to give you."

"Ooh, presents?" Karla asked, relieved to be back to a topic she could understand completely. "I like presents!" She patted the bed next to her. "Come sit down."

"Well I have to get them. Be right back." And she was, with a plastic bag with things in it. And sat down beside Karla. On her bed. Which was not lost on her.

Karla opened the plastic bag with a grin, leaning against Leda a bit. "Ooh, I wonder what's inside," she said.

Inside was a dream catcher from the Folk life festival in DC, and a hat from Arakkis. It was nothing fancy, it looked somewhat like a wide brimmed fedora.

"Aww...this hat is so cute!" Karla squealed, immediately putting it on and modelling it for Leda. "And I'll hang this over my bed right now. Thank you!" she said, throwing her arms around Leda's neck.

Leda hugged her back. "I'm so glad you like them. I didn't realize there were dream catchers outside Bordertown. Though maybe I should have."

"They made them in the Arts and Crafts class during the last set of classes," Karla explained, holding up the dreamcatcher and admiring it. "That's how I know about them." She glanced over and smiled at Leda. "You're so good to me," Karla said. "I wish I were...better at this. For you. But I'm not. Everything is so new and strange. I've only had feelings like this for several weeks. They're still so...different."

The song she'd begun to sing at Dinah earlier came to mind, and before she knew it, she was singing it again.

Leda stroked Karlas hair, and kissed her forehead.

"Here’s a Story of a girl
Who grew up lost and lonely
Thinking love was fairy tale
And trouble was made only for me." But the rest of the song didn't fit the situation faded when she kissed Karla again.

Karla kissed her back. "Then you don't mind I have no idea what to do? That--this stuff doesn't come naturally to me?"

"Not at all. Even though it's not my first time, it's still new to me too."

"I'm glad," Karla said with a relieved smile.

"This is the first time I've bought stuff for someone I was with for instance. I've stolen stuff, but I'm still fuzzy on the whole romantic gifts thing."

"I'd try to be horrified by your theiving ways, but all the wine I've brought was stolen from my uncle," Karla said, dimpling. "But thank you for buying these things for me." She leaned over to brush her lips across Leda's cheek.

Leda reached out to cup Karla's jaw, and kiss her chin, and then her nose, juuuust letting her lips brush across hers. "You're welcome."

Karla flushed a bit, then leaned in and kissed Leda back. "Does stealing kisses count?" she murmured against the elf's lips.

"Depends on how valuable they are." Leda swallowed, stroking her thumb along Karla's bottom lip.

"How would you appraise my kisses then?" Karla asked.

"Very valuable. So well worth stealing, if that's what I have to resort to." She kissed Karla then, gently at first, increasing the intensity only slightly. When she pulled back she offered; "Feel free to steal them back anytime though."

Karla's eyes fluttered back open when she realized Leda was speaking. It took another second for her to actually process the words. "You mean like this?" she asked, using Craft to tug on Leda's shirt, pulling her back in for another kiss.

She squealed a bit in surprise. After the kiss, she chuckled. "That was...yeah, like that. That was great."
